Blood formation.
Absorption of Fe.
Resistance to cold.
Stimulates the growth of mice “spectacle eye” condition in rats can be treated.
Regulates human blood cholesterol level.
Deficiency
Scurvy
Reduced growth and alopecia in mice.
Hemorrhagic degeneration of adrenal glands.
Hypervitaminosis of vitamin C causes laxative effect
